According to People Magazine, the subtle wedding bands were seen as an announcement of Portman’s marriage to Benjamin Millepied. Portman’s jeweler decided to give her not just one, but two beautiful wedding bands to flank the antique diamond situated in her engagement ring.

To match Portman’s eco-friendly nature, the jeweler used recycled metals and conflict-free diamonds and for Millepied’s, his wedding band is made of recycled platinum.
