Styles and Trends of Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood

As country music becomes more and more apart of mainstream music, there are some stars that have now found their way onto the style radar. One of those stars is country crooner Carrie Underwood. From songs like Jesus Take the Wheel to her latest single Two Black Cadillacs, Carrie has become a household name.

Career Path

Carrie first found her way into the spotlight on the famed reality show American Idol. In the beginning though, it was not Carrie’s idea to try out for the reality show. It was her family that encouraged her to pursue the opportunity before she finished her education and would no longer have the time to pursue such an opportunity. At the end of the fourth season Underwood was crowned the next American Idol and the rest is country music history.

Style Trends

In her most recent red carpet appearance at the 2013 Grammy Awards, Carrie wowed the crowd in a strapless Robert Cavalli gown. The black dress had a sweetheart neckline that helped to showcase the 381 carat diamond statement necklace that she chose for the occasion. The remainder of the dress was a lace and embroidered, curve-hugging gown that created the perfect hourglass shape for the evening.

Engagement Rings

Carrie got her fairytale ending when she met her now husband Mike Fisher. When it

came time to seal the deal, Fisher extended Underwood’s reputation as a style icon when he presented her with a flawless yellow diamond. The ring is a 5-plus carat round flawless yellow diamond with diamond side stones. The ring has an estimated value of $150,000 and sparked a new trend of choosing colored stones as an option for engagement rings.

The country crooner may have got her start on a reality show, but her reality now includes the role of wife and style icon. The only question is what will she come up with next.
